Update - Sento Towels production June

Hello everyone,

We are happy to report everything is running very smoothly with the manufacture of Sento Towels. We are on schedule to start shipping your rewards, over 70,000 Sento Towels, the end of June. Not long now.

We originally planned to ship in May but due to the large amount of orders we have had to scale our production up without sacrificing on quality, so we needed a little more time.

Dyeing - Before and After

The cotton has been taken from its raw form and put through an immersion dye bath. This technique ensures your towels colour will remain vibrant long into the future.

Packaging

The residual dye is then washed off and the towels are individually wrapped to protect them during shipping.

We cant wait to ship you your rewards and hear how you like the Sento Towels.

Update - Sento Towels Production May

Hey everyone,

Kon'nichiwa from Japan!

Just letting you know that production is well underway.

The weaving machines are doing their magic and the fabric is looking great.

In the next few days the first colour will be dyed and then put through a wash.

Once that color is done we will do another one, and so on until they are complete.

We are right on schedule and very impressed with the factories level of care and detail.

Due to travelling the last week we apologise if we missed any messages or comments but will get to them now

Hey everyone,

Just a quick update on where we are at.

PRODUCTION

We will be flying to Japan 3rd of May to oversee the production of the towels. So far they have bought material and will begin the weaving. Once weaved they sew the towels together and die the colors. Everything is on track and all the towels will be done by the end of June (and Bath Mats). Then packing and shipping will take a couple of weeks. 

Chopsticks have also been ordered 25,000 pairs! This week we are finalizing the design of our packaging which we think it looking quite cool.

SURVEYS

97% of surveys have been answered, great work! 

We will be locking down the surveys this week, which means you will still be able to change your address but not your order/colors. Anyone who included add-ons will be charged too. If you need to change something after the lockdown don't worry just message us and we can do it for you.

Surveys, Bath Mats & Production Update!

Today’s update is a big one. We’ve been very busy with getting production underway, getting all the new stretch goals and colors organised but first some details about the survey.

Backer Survey will be sent out in 24 hours!

It’s VERY important that you fill out your Backer Survey as soon as you receive it. We need to finalize the number of towels in each color, as well as plan logistics for delivery.

We are using BackerKit to send out our surveys - so keep an eye out for this email to hit your inbox in the next 24 hours. The BackerKit survey makes it very easy for you to complete your color selection, as well as add any other towels you forgot to pledge for during the campaign.

We spent many hours trying to decide on the style of Bath Mat, experimenting with different designs and looks. We needed  something that matches Sento towels but at the same time feels great under your feet.

Production Update

We have been very busy organizing production to make close to 100,000 towels! Initially we estimated delivery by the end of May/early June but we want to add a little more time to ensure the quality of each towel.  The production will take about 80 days, and we plan to start on March 25th. We should be done by June. Then we need a 2-3 weeks to organize shipping, packing & labels. New estimate would be to your door by July. 

4 New Colors Preview

Hey everyone,

When we started this campaign we had 3 wonderful colors - Navy Blue, Grey & White. Thanks to you we were able to unlock 4 new stretch goal colors - Red, Royal Blue, Green and Lavender.

Below is a preview of the colors. We would love to hear your feedback - let us know what you think. We still have time to change the shades before we go into full production in April.

Surveys are still about 1-2 weeks from being sent out, we are just waiting to receive the funds and get backer information from Kickstarter. We will have plenty of photos of all the colors in the survey to help you decide what's best for you.
