Hi Everyone,
Shipping Bath Mats is going well. We have shipped over half and will be providing tracking information next week. Be prepared for a heavy package in the mail! We are very proud of the bath mats and can't wait to hear how you like them.
Towels
All towels have shipped and we are happy to hear almost all have been received. If yours haven't arrived yet don't worry. They are on their way. If you are worried feel free to send us a message, we are always happy to check up on your order.
Towel Care
Sento Towels are made from high quality Japanese cotton, with a little care they will last for a long time.
We recommend:
Machine wash with cold water and mild detergent. No bleach or fabric softeners. Hang or tumble dry low. Strong threads means this won't wear down easily or come apart. Sanitizing washes above 60 degrees are not necessary as modern detergents have enzymes that are active over 15 degrees.
If you do like to use hot washes occasionally that is OK too but regular hot washes will just reduce the life of the cotton towels.
To dry, hang in a dry place. Their absorbency makes Japanese towels especially quick to dry. You can also tumble dry them on gentle or low cycle.
Due to the woven fabric, do not pull on any loose threads, please cut with sharp scissors.
The great thing is the more you use them, the softer, fluffier, and gentler they become.

Hello Everyone
What a great couple of weeks shipping it has been. If you haven't already received your rewards you can expect them in the next 1-2 weeks. Almost all backers rewards have been shipped. We have enjoyed hearing all your feedback and cant wait to hear from the rest of our backers.
Bath mats have begun shipping. They are very thick and soft at over 2000 GSM (grams per square meter). Due to their size and weight all bath mats ship individually.
Backer Surveys
There are still a lot of backers who haven't completed their surveys. The survey is an online form that lets you choose your towel colors and any add ons, it is also where you provide your shipping address. We resend survey invites weekly to your email address. If you cant find the email in your inbox or spam folder let us know.

We are happy to report thousands of our backers have received their towels.
Shipping
Almost all Australian and Canadian orders have been processed and shipped. Backers from Sydney and Melbourne are already reporting that they have received their towels. Next is New Zealand, Europe then Asia
Large Orders and Bath Mats
Large orders are sent in separate packages. If your order is incomplete don't worry! Another package will arrive shortly with the rest of your rewards.
Because bath mats are so heavy they must each ship individually. Bath mats were introduced and produced after towels. They are shipping now but most will ship in around 3-4 weeks.
Thanks for all the feedback. Its always great to hear from backers and we have gotten some great ideas for future Sento projects. A comment by backer David really stood out. This is really what Sento has been about, bringing the Japanese towel to the international market.
"I've had my towels for a couple weeks now and have used them for a bit over a week. I admit when I opened the package, I was a bit taken aback at how thin the towels seemed to be. I quickly realized upon using them, though, that I like these a lot better than my other towels. They *are* thinner, yes, but they are very soft and exceptionally absorbent. I get drier faster than with my old towels and these stay soft. These towels combined with my Nebia shower (also a Kickstarter project) seriously improve the quality of my daily shower. They also remind me of when i Iived in Japan and went to the onsen (communal baths) frequently."

Hello Everyone,
It has been great to hear from people who have received their towels.
To our backers who have not received their rewards, apologies for the delay. We understand you have been waiting a long time for your Sento Towels and we are working hard to get them shipped ASAP. Our shipping service originally expected to process around 500 orders a day. Among other issues many orders have had to be shipped in 2, 3 or sometimes 4 packages which has increased processing time.
Solution
We have negotiated a staff increase at the processing facility to increase processing time. Many hands make light work. All orders will be shipped in 3 to 4 weeks. We will be sending out notifications to thousands of backers whose rewards have already shipped this weekend.
